“Saulytė” is the only children folk event in Vilnius. This years concert will gather together children and youth performers from different ethnographic regions of Lithuania, ethnic minorities (tatar and russian) and the winners of children folk competition “Tramtatulis-2017”. The event will also invite kids to enjoy different workshops, swings and various outside games.
The festival closing concert will gather together its participants and guests in order to joyfully close the 45th International Folklore Festival “Skamba skamba kankliai” and to once more enjoy its best performances.
The event is dedicated to commemorate 470th anniversary of the first Lithuanian book, “The Catechism” of Martynas Mažvydas, and 500th anniversary of the Reformation movement: we will hear lutheran canticles performed by folk ensemble “Tyklė” (led by Vitalija Brazaitienė), as well as other traditional canticles performed by festival guests.
